Salary negotiation in Dubai works best when it is specific. Before naming a number, research the role, level, industry, and company type. A salary benchmark can show whether the offer sits below, inside, or above a common market range. That gives you a realistic starting point, but it is not enough by itself. The strongest negotiation links your requested salary to the value you bring.

Prepare evidence from your recent work. Mention revenue, savings, systems improved, people managed, clients retained, risks reduced, or projects delivered. If you are relocating, include the practical costs of moving, deposits, school search, rent, transport, and family insurance. Employers may not increase basic salary, but they may improve housing, flight benefits, bonus eligibility, review timing, or joining support.
